Eli and Caden are Electrical Engineering majors who worked at Generac as Electronics Engineering Interns in the summer of 2025.
What did you work on this summer? We worked on a project to identify root causes of failures on the home standby generator controllers from warranty and production. This involved using multiple testing methods and hardware debugging. Executed component analysis using an oscilloscope, DMM, and soldering. Additionally, we worked on the pre-release testing of the newest home standby generator system as well as stress testing of various generator components.
What’s the best thing about your job? The best part of our jobs at Generac is contributing to projects and products that help our community in times of need, keeping the lights on when all seems dark.
What’s great about your company? The best part of working at Generac is the comradery with fellow employees and their willingness to help us interns.
How did you find your internship opportunity? We found our internships at the MSOE Career Fair.
