Summary of Position:
Evaluate and develop Automation Division control systems for new and existing equipment, including automated and semi-automated systems for injection molding and stand-alone assembly cells. Design and develop custom inspection systems (e.g., laser, vision, contact, etc.). Evaluate the latest technologies as related to control systems for possible application and / or modernization of current equipment and systems. Develop documentation to support new equipment, including drawings, bills of material, test and inspection procedures, and product manuals. Provide engineering support to effect repairs, upgrades and retrofits as directed for the above systems.

Qualifications:

  • Must be capable of sound decision making
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and be a team player
  • Proficient at PLC Programming and HMI Design
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Experienced user of AutoCAD or Solid Works, MS Office, Excel, Word, Project

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds at times
  • Ability to observe a machine in operation and discern problems
  • Fine manipulation, coordination, etc. required during debug of machine
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
