As an Electrical Engineer I, you are passionate about product development best practices. You will be instrumental in designing and developing controllers and displays for both on-highway and off-highway applications. You will work alongside a dynamic team to create innovative electrical solutions that enhance vehicle performance and user experience. This role serves both the development of next-generation products and sustainment of current products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schematic Capture: Develop and document electrical schematics for controllers and displays implementing microcontrollers, microprocessors, and application specific I/O.
- Circuit Simulation: Utilize simulation tools to model and analyze circuit behavior, optimizing designs for performance and reliability.
- PCB Layout: Collaborate in the layout design of printed circuit boards (PCB), ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Design Validation: Conduct thorough design validation processes, including lab testing and formal qualification to ensure product reliability and safety.
- Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical components seamlessly into larger systems. Partner with Manufacturing to ensure designs support cost and manufacturing labor targets.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, project reports, and engineering change orders.
- Sustaining Engineering: Support sustaining engineering efforts through root-cause analysis of field returns, implementation of corrective actions, and design updates to address component obsolescence.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering, particularly in automotive applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- BS Degree or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- Zero to Five years of relevant design experience
Skills:

Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with CAD software used for schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g., OrCAD, Altium)
- Basic knowledge of electrical design principles
- Experience with circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE)
- Experience operating and utilizing lab equipment to analyze cirucuits such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and multimeters.
- Experience working with wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are a strong plus
- Experience working with power electronics a strong plus
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to facilitate collaboration with team members.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to project goals. Takes personal accountability for project performance.
