Rapid Prototype Machinist Intern

We work together with our users through observation, interviews, and field research, making them part of the solution process. Our team defines critical benefits to our end users, constructs prototypes, and evaluates product designs considering unmet user needs, durability, materials, and manufacturing processes. Working cross functionally, we perform a wide variety of engineering and design tasks including translating user observations to insights, employing proven ideation techniques, 3D modeling and mathematical simulation, and rapid prototype development.

The TOOLS you’ll need to have:
The primary role of this position is to work while gaining experience in a prototype machining environment using the latest software and machining methodology, in support of new product development.
Work with apprentices and journeymen from CAD Models, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce accurate prototype, power tool components in a variety of materials.
Learn to setup, program, and operate manual and CNC equipment.
Gain exposure using CAD/CAM software for a variety of complex prototype components.
Grow while using a variety of precision measuring devices to layout and inspect work.
What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Enrolled in a technical school, trade specific, is a plus.
An individual that is self-motivated, team player, creative, and a self-thinker.
