Electrical Engineering Intern
Position Summary
The Electrical Engineering Intern will work alongside the Hardware Engineering team to support the design, development, testing, and validation of electronic products and systems. This role provides hands-on experience with circuit design, embedded hardware, product verification, manufacturing support, and engineering documentation. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams while gaining practical experience throughout the product development lifecycle.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, development, and testing of electronic circuits and assemblies.
- Support prototype build, integration, debugging, and verification activities.
- Perform electrical testing and data collection using laboratory equipment including:
- Oscilloscopes
- Digital multimeters
- Power supplies
- Logic analyzers
- Signal generators
- Assist with schematic reviews, PCB design updates, and engineering change activities.
- Analyze test data and prepare technical reports, presentations, and design documentation.
- Support root cause investigations for product, manufacturing, and field issues.
- Assist with product validation, reliability testing, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Create and update engineering documents, work instructions, and test procedures.
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, Firmware, and RF Engineering teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, manufacturability, and engineering efficiency.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Understanding of basic electrical engineering principles, including:
- DC and AC circuits
- Analog and digital electronics
- Electronic components and devices
- Power systems fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory test equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
